Around 20 Wellbeing and Ministry staff, counsellors, chaplains and coordinators, joined together for our Network Day on July 25th. For many, it was the first time getting to meet colleagues from across the Region and sharing their challenges, resources and encouragement. Tash Rae from Geelong facilitated an excellent session exploring the roles of wellbeing, leadership and ministry staff in responding to a Critical Incident. Three schools were invited to share their context, and how wellbeing, pastoral care and ministry operate at their school. They also shared key programs, initiatives and future directions. School TV presented an update on their latest developments and we realised what a rich but underutilised resource our schools have access to.
The Ministry staff met for a second day at Luther College and Good Shepherd. The day began by joining the Luther Chapel and then tours of both sites. Pr Tim Jarick facilitated a discussion on Staff Formation and the day concluded with an active prayer space.
Network days are invaluable opportunities to find out what’s happening in other schools, connect with professional colleagues and be encouraged for the work you do. Please make it a priority to attend future events where possible.
