Exciting events during 2022
During 2022 our students have thoroughly enjoyed being able to attend school camps, incursions and school concert.
Senior Room Camp - Swan Hill
Our senior students made the trek to Swan Hill to stay at the Pioneers Settlement, where students were able to participate in a range of activities that allowed them to sense a feel for what it was like to be a pioneer in the Mallee region. Some of the activities that students participate in included, making butter and peg dolls, exploring heritage transport such as vintage cars and horses and carriages. Students experienced ‘Heartbeat of the Murray’ and learnt about Aboriginal culture.
Freestyle Dance Ministry
Students worked up a sweat while participating in a hip-hop dance workshop conducted by Justin from Freestyle Dance Ministry. Students learnt dance moves to a range of Christian songs. All students really enjoyed this incursion.
School Concert
Our last school concert was help in 2018 so all students had plenty of excitement and energy to entertain our school community in their concert this year. Our concert was called ‘St Peter’s got talent’. The theme for our concert was ‘Australia’, with students choosing all acts and dances. Students acted out the books ‘Wombat Stew’ and ‘Tiddalik’. Students did a fantastic job at dancing to song such as ‘What Does the Fox Say’, ‘Home Among the Gum Trees’, ‘The Nutbush’ and ‘Tie Me Kangaroo Sport’. Our little church hall was fully packed and it was a fantastic event for our school community.
