How might we build the new learning ecosystem together?
The current Education system was developed and implemented in America around 200 years ago. It revolutionised the way children and young people learned and prepared them well for their world. Now the world has shifted significantly and children and young people require a different set of skills to thrive in their world and need to be prepared for that differently. This article unpacks what some of those skills are and talks about horizon thinking, the need to look further ahead than the short cycles we often use for strategic planning and how we must do the work of redesigning schooling so that it is fit for purpose far into the future.
