First of all I would like to thank you for the warm and friendly welcome which has been extended to me since I took up this position in mid-January. The collegiality, support and concern for others, which I heard was a hallmark of LEVNT, has been more than evident (and experienced).
One of my first priorities is to meet all Principals in the region. As I write this, I am a quarter of the way through! The coming weeks will see all schools and principals visited; these visits certainly help me begin to understand your context, the vision you have for your school and perhaps the challenges you face. I have appreciated the openness of conversations and I look forward to supporting you in your role as the leader of your school.
Meetings are currently being held about the refreshed LDP. I will be able to share more about this in coming newsletters but previous reviews, addressing contemporary learning styles have been taken into account in the new look LDP. Calls for interested participants and mentors will roll out in the next few months. The plan is to commence the next round of LDP in the second semester of this year.
All of us in the LeVNT office are more than interested in what is occurring in the schools in our region. I would like to invite you to add the LEVNT office to your newsletter distribution list so that we can share in the news from your community.
