Action Plans
One of the goals we have set ourselves in the office is to develop a RAP before the end of this year (a goal which all schools were asked to set).
Kim and I have been working on the LEVNT RAP and it is now in draft form with plans to release it early next year. While schools of the region are incorporated into the plan to some degree, it is a requirement that each school site develops their own RAP. If you need assistance with this Kim or I are more than happy to assist.
Australian Reconciliation Convention
In line with our draft plan, attendance at / participation in, reconciliation events, is one crucial action.
In addressing this action Kim and I are attending the (virtual) Australian Reconciliation Convention being held from 15-17 November. The link for the Convention is https://2021arc.com.au/
The 2021 Australian Reconciliation Convention is a once in a generation event, the first national reconciliation gathering in more than 20 years.
We would encourage members of your school to also participate in this event.
RAP committee
We are pleased to welcome Matt Blunt from Eastside College to the LEVNT RAP committee. Matt’s connection with and participation in indigenous affairs will be invaluable as we move forward finalising and implementing our Plan.
