A number of you registered for the training in April that was disappointingly cancelled. I have completed this virtual training myself and can vouch for how effective and engaging it is. We are working with the organisers to make a Lutheran schools strand if we are able to get enough registrations across Lutheran schools nationally. For this reason, if you do register, then please also let me know.
PBL Sydney’21
Are you ready for powerful learners in your classroom who have skills in critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication? Are your students investigating and responding to authentic, engaging, and complex questions, problems, or challenges? This is the world of Project Based Learning.
Join us for a PBL workshop and welcome creative energy among students and colleagues. We have a workshop for those beginning their PBL journey as well as teachers who are ready to coach a colleague or a whole faculty in PBL.
For three days, September 28-30, we will host PBLWorks (Buck Institute for Education) at the PBLSydney’21 event. This event will provide world class, in-depth professional learning in ‘gold standard’ Project Based Learning for beginners, experienced PBL practitioners and school leaders. PBLWorks has been refining its model of Project Based Learning for twenty-five years and is recognised globally as best practice PBL.
If you have completed the PBL101 workshop, you are a part of a growing community who are eligible to register for the PBL201 workshop! Register here to attend PBL201 this September.
With the NSW Curriculum Review and a focus on development of understanding through the application of skills, this opportunity is a standout for teachers wishing to develop their knowledge of deep, purposeful, meaningful Project Based Learning. iOTF Events is the exclusive provider of PBLWorks professional learning in Australia.
Places are filling fast with teachers from outside the NSW DoE including Victoria, Queensland, New Zealand and Singapore.
PBLSydney’21 will offer the same workshops as PBLWorld (PBL 101, PBL 201, PBL Coaching and PBL Leadership) and we have three world-class keynotes joining our event which will operate live, online in Australian Eastern Standard Time. Effectively, we are bringing the content of the PBLWorld Conference to Australia, in an Australian time zone.
Keynotes:
- Jeff Robin – Teacher, Painter, Author. 17 years at High Tech High, USA.
- Dr Rob Loe – Relationships Foundation Cambridge UK
- Michelle Navarre – Polaris Charter Academy (EL Education) Chicago Illinois
The cost for the three-day event is $1,100.00 each (+GST) for the online event.
With the online format, participants will no longer have additional personal expenses of travel and accommodation incurred by a face-to-face event. This event represents exceptional value and is accessible to all teachers in all schools, everywhere. We encourage you to take up this opportunity as places are limited.
