We ran our third training session for in school learning leaders who are interested in facilitating training for their teachers in how to get started planning PBL units and how to revamp and improve PBL units. It was wonderful to have staff there from schools across QLD, SA and our own Eastside Lutheran College in Hobart join us to participate in the training session.
We provide participants with all the resources they need to run a series of staff meetings or other PD sessions around PBL, as well as invite them into a private Facebook group where they can ask each other questions and share stories of implementation. Another active and passionate network of Lutheran school leaders striving to transform the learning for students into an authentic and contemporary experience that meets their needs, upskills them and enables them to engage in the world.
One QLD school who have now started a series of eight PBL focused staff learning sessions said that after just the first session their staff are excited and engaged and they have such a better picture of how they are going in this area of PBL and where they are striving to get to!
