Pastor David Spike has accepted the Call to serve as Pastor of Formation and Ministry at LEVNT. While Pastor David will continue to support staff across the region in leading the Equip Christian Studies program, the Connect formation program and regional spiritual retreats. David will now also provide ministry support to School Pastors and theological support to school chaplains within our Lutheran Schools and Early Childhood Centres in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.
David is currently serving as School Pastor at Geelong Lutheran College and has provided wonderful spiritual support to the College over the last 6 years. David has also served in congregational ministry around Australia and as Principal of a Lutheran College.
As a region we feel very blessed to have David serving within our region and are excited about the new role David will have supporting our schools and early childhood centres in ministry and mission.
I would like to thank Geelong Lutheran College for working with LEVNT to enable Pastor David to be seconded to the regional office over recent years and for the support they have provided to both him and the LEVNT office during this time.
I ask that you include Pastor David in your prayers as he concludes his Call to Geelong Lutheran College later this year and prepares to commence his new role at LEVNT at the beginning of 2023. We also pray for the College as they now look at replacing this position.
