On Friday April 28th, the LEVNT Ministry Network met face to face for the first time since 2020! 16 Chaplains and School Pastors from as far afield as Wagga, Horsham and Hobart gathered at St John’s Southgate for a day of professional learning and collaborative sharing around Worship. There were many new faces in the room and it was important to be together to establish these relationships. Mark Greenthaner primed the day by reflecting on the 20 things he’d learnt about worship through many years of school ministry-the main point being; ‘Give then the Gospel!’. Libby Krahling from LEA led workshop sessions with Anita Foster, to discuss resources to support the devotional and worship life of schools. Rowan Lewis from ACCOM updated us on a current research project into pathways that grow faith in young people. Plenty of time for sharing ideas, challenges and initiatives took place over lunch and coffee. The next network day is scheduled for September and will likely include a retreat aspect. Thanks to everyone for making this day such a success.
