NAIDOC Week was celebrated across Australia in the week of the 3rd July under the theme, ‘For our Elders’. The LEVNT staff recognized this day by coming together and participating in a half day workshop.
During the session we used some of the resources from ‘Australians Together’ to explore an understanding of culture, investigated some prominent Indigenous figures and reviewed our actions from the office RAP.
Moving forward, we will look at further gaining an appreciation and awareness of Indigenous culture, especially of the Wurundjeri people on whose land the LEVNT office stands.
We trust that you had the opportunity to recognize and celebrate this event in your schools as part of your RAP.
