Generative AI Resources for Educators
Leon Furze is a local Victorian Senior English educator who happens to also be working on a PHD about Generative AI use and is now consulting in this space. He is very active on LinkedIn so it’s a good idea to follow him there for his latest insight into what Gen AI means for education in our context. He also has an excellent website that is full of resources and blog posts. I have previously shared some of his blog posts in newsletters.
Leon has recently released some free resources available for download from his website, they are e-books.
- GenAI Strategy for Faculty Leaders

- Rethinking Assessment
Also, now available on his website is access to some low-cost webinars of differing lengths.
- Practical Strategies for ChatGPT in Education
- Teaching AI Ethics
- Teaching Writing in the Age of AI

All of the above online resources can be found here: https://practicalaistrategies.com/courses/
In his regular Blog, Leon speaks into the general chatter about GenAI being used to help teachers save time by taking over lesson planning. He shares his latest thinking and work around Curriculum Development by exploring his model of Design, Refine, Create and which aspects of those stages GenAI can be useful for to view his full article click here.
