Dr Sophie Fenton- Generative AI and Education
At our most recent Principal and Business Managers Meeting we engaged in a session with Dr Sophie Fenton who shared insights about how Generative AI is likely to shape education. Dr Fenton's message to us was clear.
As technology becomes more ubiquitous in our lives our focus in schools needs to be on supporting and enabling children to develop all of the human skills such as creativity, empathy and discernment. Our focus in Lutheran Education on being Free to Flourish is the perfect way to ensure that children leverage technology for the flourishing of the world.
The slides from Dr Fenton’s presentation are attached. ISV will be rubbing a project with Leon Furze in 2025 focused on getting schools ready to embrace Generative AI for staff and students. We will share more details as we get them.
