Last week the Central Equip group met at ISV (Independent Schools Victoria). Equip is the accreditation pathway for teachers of Christian Studies. Equip has 2 modules, (Equip 1 and 2). Each module has 3 days of professional learning that explores the nature and purpose of Christian Studies, how we create learning environments that are rich, challenging and allow students to authentically engage in respectful dialogue. Equip also helps staff develop confidence in using the curriculum framework and the tools available to support them as professionals. Christian Studies helps students develop the biblical and religious literacy, to engage in meaningful ways with the Christian tradition and other religious concepts.
