On Friday last week I met with the leadership team from GLC to facilitate a future focused strategic thinking day. Sue Ellis began the day by challenging the group to reflect on definitions of culture and the practices that move people towards the culture that we desire.
We then took the concept of Culture = Values + Behaviour to begin to unpack a portrait of a GLC learner in order to identify success criteria for a vision for learning at GLC. We engaged in rich discussion and challenged each other’s thinking across the day.
The team have some great plans for taking this beginning discussion back to their college community and engaging them in this important discussion and future focused thinking. It was wonderful to spend the day with this dynamic leadership team and I look forward to next steps in 2021.
